Recently, we filmed a video for you at Vasuty Farm, located in the Kovel district of Volyn Region. Together with farm owner Hennadii Hadzovskyi and agronomist Stanislav Polozhevets, we inspected soybean and corn crops growing on sandy soils.
The farm has 75 diverse fields, with soil types ranging from sod-podzolic to peat soils. This diversity requires a tailored approach to each soil type, based on high-quality soil analysis and the implementation of precision farming practices supported by practical, effective recommendations.

Overview of Field Operations
Corn was previously grown in this field. Before sowing soybeans, the farm carried out primary tillage, applying potassium fertilizer in a localized band at the same time. Magnesium sulfate and ammonium sulfate were also applied at variable rates.
Soybeans were sown on May 1, 2024, using a peat-based inoculant. During the growing season, herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides were applied to provide optimal growing conditions.
What Were the Results?
In low-productivity zones, the farm achieved a yield of 3.88 t/ha, while high-productivity zones yielded 4.66 t/ha. The average yield across the field was 4.01 t/ha.
These results demonstrate the importance of sound agronomic decisions and effective farming practices supported by precision agriculture technologies.
