How often should soil be tested?
Soil fertility does not stay the same. Every year crops remove nutrients with the harvest, applied fertilizers change the nutrient balance, and farming practices affect the soil’s agrochemical properties.
For most farms, a comprehensive agrochemical soil test is recommended every 3–4 years. However, the frequency depends on farming intensity, crop rotation, fertilization system and field characteristics.
Some parameters, such as nitrate nitrogen, can change quickly, so it makes sense to monitor them more often — before each season if needed.
🔬 Comprehensive soil analysis from AgriLab assesses macro- and micronutrient supply, pH, organic matter and other important fertility indicators.
Regular testing helps track changes in the soil’s agrochemical properties, monitor the effectiveness of the fertilization system and adjust recommendations in time.
To compare results from different years, it is important to use the same method, depth and sampling season.
The result: control over soil fertility, balanced crop nutrition, optimised fertilizer costs and the conditions for stable yields.
