Educational project Agristart

The agricultural sector – one of the leading industries of Ukraine. But today the qualified personnel are in short supply, and the national education system is not able to cope alone with this problem due to underfunding and lack of government reforms.

AgriLab together with the National Agriculture University of Ukraine (NUBiP) created educational and practical project Agristart to solve this problem.

Today, the presentation of innovations laboratory took place in the institution.

The event was opened by Stanislav Nikolaenko, the Rector of the National Agriculture University of Ukraine. He said that cooperation of business and science is necessary nowadays especially at the time of the fourth industrial revolution. It is good that there are some companies, which understand this.

The project provides a set of workshops, research projects on the effectiveness of the elements of precision farming, practical seminars with leading experts in agricultural production, as well as grants for training abroad and more. In addition, modern equipment and the latest technology are available to students and teachers.

“Today the using of modern scientific and technological approach is a trend of global agribusiness. Companies that rely on the use of innovation and, in particular, precision farming, will not only increase production in terms of expensive resources but also improve its effectiveness. The experts with appropriate qualifications and specials skills are necessary for technologies implementation and supporting them. Such professionals as engineers, agronomists, agrochemists are in deficit. Investments in the project Agristart and innovation laboratory – is increasing in the efficiency and adaptability of the agricultural sector of Ukraine.”
