Soil Management for Increasing Profit: Successful Case Studies and Effective Solutions on Specific Examples of Kyiv Region Farms – Only such a topic could tear agronomists and heads of region’s agribusinesses off the field at rush hour.
AgriLab continues a series of regional seminars. This time they met with the farmers of the Kiev region. The event was held on the basis of LLC “Biotech LTD” in Gorodishche village, Borispol district. The choice of such a location was not accidental, because it was here that the participants of the seminar could not only hear about modern innovative technologies, but see the results of their implementation in the fields of the company…
“How Biotech LTD Increased Profitability: Outright about Failures and Achievements” – this is the story of the head of the farm, and moreover – a scientist, professor Anatliy Bikin, and a seminar began. The positive financial dynamics of the company can be achieved through the efficient use of resources: they do not spend here at random, but clearly know what, when and where to make. For this purpose, the farm conducts complex agrodiagnostics of the field – to create the optimal fertilizer system, and additional fertilization of crops is carried out on the basis of the data of the diagnosis of nitrogen nutrition during the growing season.
Yaroslav Boyko told more about the algorithm of complex agrodiagnostics and its economic and agronomic results. He also spoke about the dynamics of introducing innovative approaches to agriculture in different regions of the country.
Vladimir Mahota more focused on the regional characteristics of soils and their natural potential. According to the expert, the potential of the soil depends on 60% of the yield, so after his report many farmers thought about conducting soil analysis. After all, resources are getting more expensive every time.
The topic of reasonable economy on fertilizers was continued by Vladislav Lavrinenko. He described the successful experience of soil management at East Agro. In particular, on the example of specific technological maps, the expert demonstrated the influence of different methods of cultivation of the soil on the yield of sunflower and compared the results of the application of different power schemes.
Yuriy Lisak, Chief Agronomist at AgroRegion, shared his practical case with farmers. He talked about effective technology for growing corn on sandy soils. AgroRegion is actively pursuing research. For example, this year the company introduced differentiated corn sowing, laid the experience on the efficiency of 12 types of fertilizers, traditionally conducted comprehensive agrodiagnostics of the field.
Vitaly Andryushchenko, Chief Technology Officer of the KERNEL Plant Service, spoke about innovation and their effectiveness. He presented a technological map of sunflower cultivation and described the results of many studies conducted by the company in different regions of the country.
Oleg Prikhodko, a representative of Farmet, told how to choose the best technology for mineral fertilizers and what each of them is about. In particular, he noted that fertilizing without analysis – how to measure “average temperature” in the ward – is dangerous for the financial health of agribusiness.
Today, no agricultural seminar is without the theme of “digitization”. Oleg Moskalenko, Head of Digital Development at AgriLab, not only talked about digital tools, but also showed how they work, what opportunities they have and what they bring, demonstrating My AgriLab Agronomist Portal, which has been successfully used by many companies today.
The program of the seminar was very intense, and time passed quickly. Agrarian and farmers have discussed many important issues and found optimal solutions that will allow them to generate more revenue per hectare.
