Soil fertility and proper nutrient management are key to both profitable and sustainable food production in today’s agricultural systems. The use of soil testing is the foundation for proper nutrient management. Proper sample collection coupled with quality chemical analysis provides the farmers the information they need to make fertilizer application decisions. Ward Laboratories uses standard methods developed to assess plant nutrient levels in a wide range of soils. These soil test results let the farmer or advisor asses the fertility levels in crop fields. Based on that information they can use nutrient recommendations provide accurate fertilizer application plans.
