The last days of 2016 are passing. This year was full of ambitious plans and decisive action. Have we achieved our goals? What will we remember about this year? Let’s try call to memory the brightest moments.
AGRILAB – THE MOST INNOVATIVE!
In 2016 AgriLab – entered the top 20 most innovative companies of Ukraine according to Forbes magazine rating. Rating was formed on the basis of the following criteria: 1) the uniqueness of the company’s products, innovative production technology; 2) the unique business processes that promote the sale of products; 3) local or global scale of innovation and etc. After all, among the different agricultural companies into the rating entered just a few: Drone Ua, Svarog West Group, Kernel and – Agrilab.
AGRILAB IS INVESTING IN THE KNOWLEDGES!
To be the most innovative – it means to be one step ahead of others, to know more, feel the trend. That is why AgriLab experts regularly take part in various conferences, seminars, trainings. In Finding the new knowledge, they arrived to the United States, where they took part in an international conference on precision agriculture, on which, incidentally, were the only representatives of the Ukraine, and the Netherlands, where they found out more about the latest technologies in the training center of SBG Precision Farming.
AgriLab generously shares knowledge and experience to Ukrainian agrarians. Our experts were speakers of two dozen conferences and forums, where they told about the perspectives of precision agriculture, modern farming methods, the economic feasibility and profitability of different technologies.
And also, in this year AgriLab initiated the wonderful tradition – to support the development of quality agricultural education in our country. The company has provided the modern appliances, which are used for precision farming, to the National University of Environmental Sciences of Ukraine. And this is only the first step.
THE PROJECT OF THE YEAR
Project of the year – so, no doubt, can be called a powerful agro researching – «EUROpoligon», which the company AgriLab has done with LNZ Group and the magazine “Zerno”. Experts have analyzed 70 maize hybrids of different maturity groups from world-renowned manufacturers of Monsanto, Syngenta, Dow Seeds, Pioneer, Limagrain according to international practice of researching. The result of research was not the physical indicators, which were only an intermediate stage of research, but the profit (in monetary terms), which depends on the choice of a certain hybrid, protection agents, cultivation technology and etc. The hybrid lineup includes four groups of ripeness. The most interesting and promising hybrids were selected for the analysis in each of groups. Experiments were in several geographical locations in Ukraine – in Cherkasy and Sumy regions. The project lasted for several months, and its results were quite unexpected.
LOOKING FOR THE NEW SOLUTIONS
Unique soil sampler, portable analytical laboratory, the comprehensive of field expertises, new technologies, services and approaches – AgriLab constantly looking for innovative solutions. In 2016 the company started cooperation with Laser-Ag (Canada) for testing and implementation of laser technology in precision farming in Ukraine. LIB technology (laser spark spectroscopy) is used in a laser sensor of NASA marsrovers that study the surface of the red planet and its mineral composition of rock samples. The technology is also used in metallurgy, pharmaceutical, mining and nuclear industries. «LIB» technology is a new type of analysis of individual soil peculiarities. Thousands of light rays passing through a soil sample decompose it into plasma, which is analyzed by the appliance. Then it’s calculated according to formula and the result is ready.
2016 was generous on exciting developments and perspective projects, but 2017 will bring new achievements.
