“The Battle of Agro Titans – 2017″ – an exhibition of technology in the field – ended today on the Teiyiv region. The two-day event organized annually by the Vseukrayinska ahrarna rada together with the group of companies “TAK” has gathered the largest number of farmers for the five-year history of event.
“Today we have an absolute record for the number of equipment, and according to the number of participants – more than 1000 visitors, of which more than 750 representatives of agrarian enterprises. Look around – Ukrainians – a nation that believes in itself, believes in its future and they are all here today. People come, people learn from each other… We believe in our country “, – said Andriy Dykun, the head of the Vseukrayinska ahrarna rada.
Within the six demonstration zones, farmers were able not only to see the modern technology of Ukrainian and foreign production, but also to evaluate the work of plows, cultivators, seeders, sprayers and spreaders, combine harvesters and grain growers on the field.
Also on the “The Battle of Agro Titans – 2017″ were represented technologies of precision farming. So, AgriLab introduced the Raven Precision Farming Systems, unmanned aerial vehicles, portable laboratory and soil sampler with GPS.
“Manufacturers, which introducing precision farming technologies are moving to a new level of intensive development. This is a global trend and Ukrainian agribusiness can not remain behind it, – said analyst at AgriLab Alexander Gaidai. In order to receive more profit from each hectare of field and not waste extra resources, it is necessary to take into account the features of not only the entire field, but also each of its areas. For example, the system of differentiated fertilization allows you to optimize resources to 40%, and using variables of seed rates, you can save 3-8% of the seeds. However, the first step towards precision farming technologies should be a qualitative analysis of the soil.”
The practice of AgriLab clients confirms the effectiveness of innovations implementation into production. So, Ruslan Golub, the CEO of the group of companies “TAK”, co-organizer of the “The Battle of Agro Titans – 2017″, shared his experience in introducing precision farming technologies.
“This year we began to use elements of precision farming. Of course, it is too early to give the estimates – we haven’t harvest yet. However, we already feel the first positive thing – the saving money. Thanks to the soil analysis, we bought cheaper fertilizers than traditionally, only if necessary. Only this saved us UAH 3 million in fertilizers. There is an appropriate technique for VRA. To put it bluntly, we are still far away for precision farming, but we are working in this direction. I think, after 2-3 years we will completely switch to the use of precise technologies.”
