There is little risk in any innovation. “What if this does not work?”, – this opinion restrains many agrarians from introducing new approaches and technologies. But if nothing changes, how to get more?
KERNEL shared its experience in innovating and increasing the profitability of every hectare. On July 12, in Varva, Chernihiv region, Field Day was held within the framework of the Open Agribusiness project. , during which all agrarians could find out how and with whom the country’s largest agricultural holding company works, what technologies it uses, how it implements precision agriculture and achieves greater efficiency.
Kernel’s agribusiness roadmap begins with soil analysis. Soil is being researched here systematically: agroholding is one of the few to have its own agrochemical laboratory, and the company is collaborating with AgriLab using complex field diagnostics. Also, the company fully implement the various elements of precision farming.
By the way, Field Day was held on the basis of the Druzhba-Nova cluster, which in 2012 covered the entire complex of precision farming technologies on 110,000 hectares. According to AgribenchMark research from Ukrainian Agribusiness Club, Druzhba-Nova is ahead of many leading agricultural producers in the world in terms of efficiency. However, there are no limits to perfection – and today KERNEL is moving to the next level, the level of digital agriculture.
